Question by Villain: Should the USA create a national lottery to pay for a free college education to all?
A few states use gambling proceeds to help pay for education, including my state of Kansas.
Georgia uses ALL it’s gambling procees to pay for a FREE college education to any of it’s citizens that wish to pursue college.
The Georgia plan has some merit.
Does a National Lottery, for free college, have any merit?
PS-THE USA has used lotteries before! During the Revolution, the US had a lottery to help pay for the war. Many colonies used lotteries to raise money. AND most of the original 13 states used lotteries. So a national lottery isn’t far fetched! (I love the History Channel).
Yes in Kansas we have 3 casinos, 4 dog tracks, and a state lottery…..we’ll be getting cars soon. lol
