TERMINATRYX “Virus” (uncensored)
Winner of the Best Music Clip at the 2011 Barossa Film Festival, Australia. Official selection 2011 Salt Lake City Horror Film Festival & set to screen at 2012 Sci-Fi-London. Richard Stanley quote on the video (writer/director of Hardware and Dust Devil): “Once in every generation a plague shall fall upon you! ‘Virus’ by Terminatryx delivers a bone crushing, gut munching, spine tingling, supersonic blow to the cerebral cortex. Metal, mayhem and no holds barred lycanthropy. What more could you ask for?” (For optimum viewing, set the YouTube viewer at 1080p) “Virus” the music video of Cape Town based female-fronted Industrial-Metal band TERMINATRYX. Congratulations Paul!?
Hey there – yeah, the music video is linked to? our short film Marked. It screened at various film festivals and will be uploaded at our FlamedropProductions YouTube page soon.
(sorry for the delayed reply – we don’t check these comments too often)
Out of? curiosity is this from “Marked”
@Fuzygish – Thanks,? we really appreciate it.
@ChazWolf73 – We hosted Richard Stanley at our 2011? Celludroid Sci-Fi / Fantasy / Anime film festival, screenign s retrospective of all his work. He’s a fantastic guy. We showed him our video and he loved it – hence the quote. He may be heading back to South Africa soon to shoot a chapter for a feature film anthology (with which we’ll be assisting).
Extremely awesome! I love this music video! And you guys are local band all the way from Cape Town? I love seeing a female vocal? in a metal band, it’s been my dream forever. Respect!
Interested to know if Richard Stanley is involved in this,? or just commenting in passing? He’s one of my favourite directors of all time. The 5-disc set of ‘Dust Devil’ is one of my most treasured DVDs.
What??
Killer quote on the Terminatryx “Virus” music video from Richard Stanley (writer/director of Hardware and Dust Devil): “Once in every generation a plague shall fall upon you! ‘Virus’? by Terminatryx delivers a bone crushing, gut munching, spine tingling, supersonic blow to the cerebral cortex. Metal, mayhem and no holds barred lycanthropy. What more could you ask for?”
We’re proud to announce that “Virus” won Best Music Clip at the 2011 Barossa Film Festival, Australia, and was officially selected (together with the short film version “Marked”) at the Salt Lake City International Horror Film Festival.?
Hey, thanks so? much!
Why, oh why haven’t I watched this earlier? Paul, this video is absolutely amazing. Defenitely one of the best, if not THE best South African music videos I have seen to date. Awesome? to the extreme.
KILL IT? WITH VIRUS
“MARKED”, the? short film version of the TERMINATRYX – “Virus” music video made it’s world premiere at the 2011 X FEST Film Festival, 5 August – XFEST.org
Thanks man!?
Nice points. It’s great to see it’s all been thought out. still, really beautiful looking footage? man.
Hiya, thanks for the feedback – point taken. Although we try to keep it understated and not to go artificially nuts to make it seem like we’re really playing our asses off. Furthermore it would be a jump from wild activity to sudden more static in order for the audience to see the cool scar make-up FX punch-line towards the end. It also balances the werewolf transformation activity.?
My thoughts: Band looks awesome, just a GREAT look period. The music is nice and heavy, reminds me of the metal I grew up with! The video just owns! But its not all good, the song itself sucks. It doesnt grab or hook you? at all. It feels tame and all to familiar. Nothing new, nothing exciting. It lacks the punch that the music and the video have in spades. Still all in all this was enough to get me to check out what else this band has to offer. Good stuff (mostly).
Paul heheh? awesome clip!!!!
Well done video, but the director needed to cul some real performances out of the? musicians. It’s a bit lackluster there, but the production values look great, and all the post color stuff and fx look really really good too.
…
