wd40 tends to evaporate/dry out again pretty quick though, it's more for cleaning than long-term lubrication. It's better to use a very thin oil, like the old-fashioned 'sowing-machine' type oil - it will do? a better job in the long run.

I own? a 560b1 and iam very happy the fluid head also is great and the moves does not remind at all a monopod!!!this kind of monopods in my opinion is for light dslrs in videography!!!articulate screen is recomended!if you want to put a heavier body like mark iv with a heavy lens it works like a clasic monopod and better and its usable like all the others..heavy body make this an excelent monoppod for photo, light body and you upgrade your video work!!

Thanks for the vid,? it helped me make my mind about purchasing this.

One question, what are the rubber bands in the handle for? I know they use it in tripods to make pans a tilts smoother, but I can't see how could you use it with a monopod :-)

Hey Dave, very informative video. I don't own this monopod, but from other reviews I've seen, the "popping" issue is basically due to friction in the ball joint. Apparrently, the friction can be adjusted by loosening three little allen wrench screws near the base. Try it out and see if that helps make the? movement smoother.
